#ProjectInFocus #EU #HorizonEU #Transport 🚢 Europe’s ports have powered trade for centuries. Now, they are being asked to power the green transition. As explored in the latest @CORDIS feature on the PIONEERS Ports project, this shift is not just about new technologies – it’s about rethinking how ports operate, adapt and remain competitive in a low-carbon future. 🔷PIONEERS brings this challenge into focus through real-world testing. Across 19 demonstrations, innovative solutions, from clean energy systems to digital tools, have been trialled in live port environments. 🔷A recent milestone illustrates this approach with an electric autonomous guided vehicle, successfully demonstrated at a fully operational DP World container terminal in Port of Antwerp-Bruges.
