In two weeks' time, the European maritime community will be in Limassol. Did you secure your spot at the European Maritime Day - the place where Ocean Leaders meet'? At #EMD2026, we will host a workshop on sustainable tourism. It will showcase challenges and solutions identified by our EU-funded projects to transform coastal tourism models into sustainable, nature-positive and community-led development pathways. We will discuss it with Odysseas Spyroglou (CoastalPro), Giovanna Dante (LIFE Programme PROMETHEUS project), Evangelia Datsi FAMENET - Fisheries and Aquaculture Monitoring, Evaluation and Local Support Network) and Antonios Chourdakis. There will also be several workshops organised by EU initiatives or EU funded projects on green shipping, algae, maritime spatial planning, underwater munitions, energy transition in fisheries and aquaculture, and more. Last but not least, at EU stand we will present current funding opportunities in the blue economy.
