We’re on the ground visiting Baltic synchronisation infrastructure! ⚡ This week, CINEA colleagues are travelling across Poland, Lithuania and Latvia to visit key infrastructure supporting the synchronisation of the Baltic electricity systems with the Continental European network, supported by #CEFEnergy. The mission includes visits to several project sites, allowing us to assess the progress or completion of works, discuss next steps with transmission system operators. The first stop has been in Poland, where we met with CEF beneficiary Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A. and visited key infrastructure reinforcing electricity connections in the region, including 400 kV transmission lines and substations, such as Piła Krzewina and Dunowo. The visit also included a helicopter flight over the planned route of Harmony Link, the future electricity interconnector between Poland and Lithuania that will enable the exchange of electricity between the two countries. Seeing the infrastructure on the ground provides valuable insight into results and helps ensure #EU funding continues to support critical energy security objectives. EU Energy
