For decades, the Arctic's story has largely been told through a single season. ❄️ Summer, with easier field conditions, has long defined what we know about the #Arctic. Now, an international team has spent an entire year in Kongsfjorden, #Svalbard, sampling the same fjord week after week through the polar night, the spring bloom, and beyond. 🏞️ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀, 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀.
