Everyone is going to talk about the €60M. The valuation. The headline. I want to talk about the part nobody puts in the press release. Starting a company from zero is easy to romanticize and brutal to actually do. The real test is not the launch, but it is getting a client to pay you once, then convincing them to pay you again next year. Then doing that hundreds of times over, across multiple countries, while the product, the team, and the playbook all have to evolve at the same time. That is not a milestone. That is a tsunami of decisions, day after day, year after year. Most of which nobody outside the company will ever know happened. So while the funding number gets the attention, what actually impresses me is watching Job Kuijpers, Vincent van de Ven, and Piet Kerkhofs build Eye Security into something hundreds of clients trust enough to renew. Proud to have been even a very small part of the journey. This one is earned.
