In a multicenter cohort of 787 patients with possible myocarditis undergoing CMR, we found that: ๐น Left atrial (LA) and right atrial (RA) long axis shortening (LAS) independently predicted adverse cardiovascular outcomes (of note: LAS in CMR is a very simple and fast, vendor-independent method for evaluating longitudinal heart function). ๐น Atrial dysfunction provided incremental prognostic value beyond traditional CMR markers such as LVEF and LGE ๐น Combined bi-atrial dysfunction identified the highest-risk patients ๐น LAS analysis was rapid, reproducible, and feasible in routine clinical CMR workflows ๐ Follow-up: median 3.5 years โ ๏ธ Endpoint: HF hospitalization, sustained VT, recurrent myocarditis, or death โ ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง: ๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ข๐ง ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ ๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ค ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐๐ข๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ฒ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ฏ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐ฉ๐๐ญ๐ข๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐จ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ฌ.
