Cultures in churches are changing as well. I see a real and healthy authenticity developing. Realizing we are all broken... ministers, leaders, teachers, members... everyone. We're moving from pastoral hospitals where you just come to receive treatment and get "fed and fixed" to being equipped, understood and then launched with repentant and transformed hearts and minds... still struggling in their imperfections. As one author, James S. Garfield, puts it in "Lead Your Tribe Field Guide", it's not about herding cats... it's about sending sons and daughters of the King to be who they were always meant to be... as in Psalm 139:13-16. What has God written in the Book regarding those sitting in our pews? Do we know? Do they know? We're here to help each other open up our Books. John D.
