Pope Leo XIV arrives in Spain today for a visit focused on overcoming political polarization, migration, and renewing faith in one of Europe's historic Catholic strongholds. Leo will meet Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, who has been a vocal opponent of US President Donald Trump’s war in Iran and has pursued a policy of welcoming immigrants. Sánchez also came to the defense of the Chicago-born pontiff after Trump criticized his stance on the war in April.
