Ce tableau de Marie-Caroline de Bourbon-Sicile, Duchesse de Berry, qui sert de fil rouge pour la prochaine exposition au @chateaudesceaux du 13.09.2026 au 14.02.2027, date de 1825. Collection du Château de Versailles C'est le directeur de la Royal Academy à Londres, Thomas Lawrence qui réalisa ce portrait éblouissant. Le mari de Marie Caroline fut assassiné en 1820 pendant qu'elle portait l'héritier du trône de France. Marie-Caroline’s husband was assassinated in 1820 whilst she was pregnant with the heir to the French throne.
