What looks like a simple patch… has been 14 years in the making. The journey behind SkinSync® started long before Encapsolutions was created in 2022. Back in 2012, at a nanotechnology conference in Dresden, a simple conversation sparked an idea — combining nanotechnology with nanofibres to improve how active ingredients could be delivered through the skin. At the time, it wasn’t clear where it would lead. But one thing became obvious early on: 👉 Most patches on the market waste a large portion of their active ingredients. So the ambition was set: Build something fundamentally better. What followed was a long, non-linear journey — involving collaborations across countries, multiple iterations, and a lot of learning along the way. We explored pharmaceutical applications. We tested different materials and approaches. We faced technical challenges and regulatory complexity. And eventually, as a team, we had to make a decision: Do we follow a long pharmaceutical path… or bring something to people sooner? In 2022, Encapsolutions was created with that shared vision — to take this technology out of the lab and into real life. Since then, it has truly been a team effort. Over the past three years, the Encap team has: → Built the core nanofibre technology → Developed and refined multiple patch generations → Established production capability → Navigated manufacturing and US market entry → Brought SkinSync® patches onto shelves and online Today, SkinSync® is being used by people across the US. But what matters most to us isn’t the technology itself. It’s simple: Does it help people feel better? That’s the standard we hold ourselves to. 14 years after that initial idea, it’s incredibly rewarding to see the work of an entire team starting to make a difference.
