Strategic Account Manager at Cummins

After 3.5 years, I am going to leave the wonderful world of green hydrogen to take on a new role within Cummins — this time closer to the “traditional” business in Cummins Power Systems.   I have now started as Strategic Account Manager, specializing in backup power solutions for data centers and mission-critical applications. I am extremely excited to get started and very much looking forward to working with my new colleagues and customers!   And what a wonderful roller coaster the green hydrogen market has been!   Joining in 2022, I went from learning that “a lack of manufacturing capacity for electrolyzers will be the industry’s only real problem” to learning just two years later that we had “reached the trough of the Gartner hype cycle” — something that suddenly everyone knew had always been inevitable.   Incredibly ambitious projects were announced, awarded, cancelled, and sometimes revived. It was often stressful — but never boring — walking the thin line between investing sufficiently in manufacturing capabilities while scaling cautiously and competing for (at times uncertain) projects.   Looking back, it is remarkable what the industry as a whole has achieved. Multiple 100 MW+ lighthouse projects are under construction, and significant infrastructure investments are being executed. I strongly believe that green hydrogen has a great future, which we will see unfold over time.   It has been a privilege to work with such dedicated and committed people who share this strong vision. I wish all my Accelera colleagues, customers, and business partners all the very best — and I am sure our paths will cross again. Neuer Job, neue Aufgaben – ich freu mich drauf! #neuerjob
