Good news! 🌲 🍃 🌳 After 5 years of project development, intense discussions, trust building, site visits and business negotiations I am immensely proud: Removing and Storing Carbon (RSC) Brazil is live! Together with BTG Pactual Timberland Investment Group we are kicking off a large scale restoration and reforestation project in South Brazil's Atlantic Rainforest. It s an honor to lead this project for Inter IKEA Group where native forest protection, restoration, active reforestation and forest management go hand in hand improving livelihoods, removing and storing app 2 M t of CO2 while safeguarding and improving water resources and biodiversity. Now it s time to get our hands dirty in the best sense of the word. Let us start planting trees at the right place for the right purpose, protect what is left of this endangered biome and restore habitats for the many iconic plants and animals calling the Atlantic rainforest their home.
