Evening thoughts #4 A very interesting article. I see many companies letting go of employees over 50 with extensive experience, only to replace them with younger, cheaper, and supposedly more competitive talent. I really like the idea that “reciprocity can replace rivalry.” This exchange between generations strikes me as a very compelling way for companies to unlock their full potential. There is still some way to go before this concept is fully embraced in what remains a highly individualistic society, but it is clear that companies must evolve to integrate individuals whose working lives are becoming longer.
