BMW 600: Many of you know that my love is with cars, which convey as less complexity as possible. The BMW 600 is such an example. In 1957 BMW needed to expand its model range but did not have the resources to develop an all-new car with an all-new engine. Therefore BMW used the Isetta, enlarged the carbody and implemented a fine flat-twin engine from the R67 motorcycle. Although the BMW 600 is an example of space efficient design sales figures did not meet BMW's expectations. BMW stopped the production already 1959 after two years and 35.000 units build. Today there are ~100 left. However some solutions survived on other BMW cars, like the independent semi-trailing arm rear suspension, which was used on every BMW until the 1990s. On the photo you can see the restauration of a BMW 600 and the fine "Boxer-Engine" - by the way the sound is great! The car is expected to get on the road late summer this year. Still some work to do. #bmwgroup #bmwmotorrad #bmwmotorsport #automotiveindustry #automotive #classiccars #oldtimer #sustainability #kearneyoriginals #kearney
