With Covid 6 years behind us and the turn of the decade only 3.5yrs away why are we still stressing about the war for talent in much the same way? How often can organisations genuinely say that they have a total workforce view, joined up workforce planning between HR, finance, commercial and procurement, and truly innovative resourcing strategies across the 6Bs (Build, Buy, Borrow, Bot, Bounce, Boost etc)? Not often it seems… At the SIA Contingent Labour conference today (and more tomorrow) there were many TA / CW suppliers and even more questions about “what talent is required, what is your ‘top talent’, whether companies are making the most of SoW mechanisms” and much more. It’s clear to me that there is an urgent need now for: ⛳️ workforce strategies, ⛳️ better organisational planning practices, ⛳️ criticality exercise outcomes and ⛳️ SWP implementation to bring together more innovative approaches to resourcing and insights for talent prioritisation and decision making, with SWP embedded as an organisational planning capability. This is what we do at Cello Consulting so DM me if you are facing in to these challenges. There was a strong call for action from SIA chairman, Peter Reagan, CCWP, in his keynote to get after this, which me must! Thanks for all the great conversations today…and thanks for the swag and chocolate too! Jonathan Berlan Philippe W. F. E.
