I rescue brilliant people from being beige | Expert speaker on storytelling in business | Keynote: ‘They Came. They Saw. They Forgot.’ | ‘Win The Room’ presentation mastery
Out of the Blue! Can you imagine having actually sat next to Steve Jobs, Marie Curie, Oprah Winfrey, Tim Berners-Lee or Jane Austen when they were kids in class? The world's most influential people in business, engineering, science, politics, the arts and beyond were a pupil at some point SOMEWHERE! I took a trip out to Wells today to deliver a Futures For All talk at the Blue School, for their World of Work day. I had a full day… two talks in the morning to years 8 and 9, then helped judge ten teams in a Dragons' Den style business pitch, based on a challenge set by Glastonbury Festival's Emily Eavis, just down the road in Worthy Farm. What a privilege! Outside reception there's a blue plaque, proudly declaring that Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright was once a student at the school. How brilliant... now a Hollywood director of cult films, Edgar was once a little lad from Somerset. I wonder who I may have bumped into today who could be about to make their mark on the world?
