The Fence Still Stands - Áníítʼí Tah Ndidí Siz - brings together research, illustration, memory, and land-based knowledge to reflect on conservation labour and relations with place. The visual story connects personal and family histories with wider questions central to the CONLAB project, including how conservation work and landscapes are shaped together across generations. This collaboration was part of Anwesha Dutta’s stay at Northern Arizona University, through the RCN mobility grant, where she had the opportunity to visit the Navajo Nation and learn about Indigenous ways of being with land and nature.
