This week is NAIDOC Week, and for 2026 we’re celebrating 50 Years of Deadly. Honouring five decades of strength, culture, resilience and the incredible contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. To mark this milestone, we sat down with Emmy Webbers, Chisholm’s First Nations Innovation and Support Manager, to hear her reflections on what this year’s theme means, why NAIDOC Week matters, and how we can all continue to learn from and celebrate First Nations communities. Whether you’re attending a local event, learning more about First Nations histories and cultures, or taking time to listen and connect, NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to celebrate, reflect and get involved.
