I have been analyzing companies for some time now but for the last 2 weeks i have started a practice that I had never done before i.e. Concall Analysis. What is a Concall (aka earnings call ) ? The management of the company reviews its financial results, discusses market challenges and shares business guidance quarterly along with answering questions from analysts. This activity is not compulsory but companies do it to build trust amongst investors. What does the Concall analysis tell you ? 1) It explains the number behind financial statements 2) It tests management credibility - The tone with which management answers indicates much more about the company than just numbers. 3) It identifies catalysts and risks much before they actually happen. 4) It helps you to understand what actually drives the companies growth 5) The execution ability of the management can also be seen when you analyse multiple concalls. Where do you find concalls ? There are many websites but I use screener.in for Indian companies and TIKR for US companies. With the help of AI, reading concalls is much easier for an investor than earlier. Comment "Concall" and I will send you the exact prompt that helps breakdown concalls for you.
