🗣️ The Chips JU is contributing to the advancement of photonics in Europe, with around 10-15% of projects involving photonics elements. That was one of the figures the Chips JU Executive Director, Jari Kinaret, shared at the EPoSS Annual Forum 2026 in Braga, to introduce the session "Industrializing Integrated Photonics in Europe: The Role of Pilot Lines, Competence Centres and the Chips Act 2". 💡 As part of the presentation, Jari Kinaret provided a rundown of the Chips JU's work and how it targets both demand and the capacity and supply side. 📝 The work will continue with a new wave of Chips JU calls opening in July, including a photonics call.
