A North Philadelphia native, Felder earned his bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Penn State. He later earned his master's degree in educational leadership with a concentration in health education from Penn State, during which time he served as a graduate assistant with the Nittany Lion football team. He is the author of “The Inside Game: Mastering the Mind, Strengthening the Spirit, Leading with a Purpose”.
