I am thrilled to share that my first single-author research article, Two Sides of the Same Diffusion: The adopter-non-adopter influences in police technology innovation adoption, has been published in the latest issue of Government Information Quarterly (SSCI, IF=10). The article is a thorough adaptation of my Master's thesis, focusing on understanding how an innovative tech application (EPSS) spread among local police departments in Taiwan. A key aspect of this work is the introduction of the concept of non-adoption diffusion into the existing theories and network modeling framework. This addition offers a more comprehensive perspective on the complex diffusion process of technology and, more broadly, social opinions. I would like to express my gratitude to my Master's thesis advisor, Hsini Huang, who contributed many valuable insights that shaped the direction of this study. Although I wasn't able to fully realize these ideas when I completed my degree, they later became the most innovative elements of this published article. I am also thankful to Professor Helen Liu, who encouraged me to adapt my Master's thesis for DG.O 2024. This guidance ultimately led to the opportunity to submit to this special issue of GIQ. https://lnkd.in/emcaX3qN
