Sometimes you meet a team where you immediately know: They will get the job done! Today I had the honour of handing out the Kaizen of the Month September out to team Terex Parts CEVA Logistics Roosendaal. Supervisor Svajunas Jucius and his team were having trouble having to restack large plastic covers from a US pallet onto a EURO-Size one. This often took 3 people around 20 minutes per pallet only to have the pallet safely ready for putaway. Teammember Jacky van Meurs had the idea to not the change the pallet, but to alter the racking, so it could accomodate the original pallet. This simple (and cheap, parts were taken over from another client) solution makes sure the inbound is now done swift and above all, with only 1 person. Nice to see that people who work for a long time at CEVA Logistics still have their improvement caps on, well done team!!! #ContinuousImprovement!
