Be sure to read "Blue LED-driven synthesis of benzoyl-guanidine hybrids via radical–radical cross-coupling" by KRISHNARAO JAYARAM DESAI and pratheepkumar annamalai In this #OpenAccess communication, the authors describe a radical–radical cross-coupling strategy for guanylation of benzoyl-thiourea derivatives with diverse secondary amines to afford bioactive benzoyl-guanidine hybrids under blue LED irradiation in a greener reaction medium. The work demonstrates the post-modification of benzoyl guanidine to afford bioactive isoquinolinone scaffolds via ruthenium-catalyzed oxidative annulation with diphenylacetylene.
