It is time for European industry to deliver solutions 💡- the Antwerp Declaration Community meets for round 3 of the battle for #competitiveness Today, during the European Industry Summit, a coalition of 1300+ companies, associations and trade unions met to call on EU heads of state and government to act for European industry. It was an honour to be representing Hydrogen Europe at this transformative day, surrounded by a community of like-minded organisations and people who see the need to boost #EUindustry in order to make it resilient, protect #jobs, attract #investment and #decarbonise. Industrial, climate and security policy are now inseparable. #Cleanhydrogen is at their intersection point, enabling: 🍃 Industrial #decarbonisation at scale  🔃 #Energysecurity and diversification  ⚙️#Resilience of strategic value chains  👷‍♂️ #Employment and #reindustrialisation More than one year after the #Draghi report, only 11% of its recommendations for EU competitiveness have been implemented. Adding to that, 83% of the performance indicators put forward by the Antwerp Declaration Monitoring Framework in 2024 have shown no improvement. That is why Europe must nurture its #cleantech and industry now to set itself up for a #sustainable and resilient future. Supporting low-carbon, #MadeInEU products through demand creation policies, notably with the use of lead markets in key sectors such as #steel and #fertilisers, will embark us on a path of reindustrialisation that will ensure a green and secure Europe. A resilient and competitive future awaits the European industry, and #cleanhydrogen is a part of this narrative. Let’s #SaveOurIndustry. Not next year, not next week, but today! ✍ Read the Antwerp Call to Action to learn more➡️ https://lnkd.in/eCjPD2Bj And #H2Europe’s other related activities: ➡️ Joint statement on the Industrial Accelerator Act #IAA: https://lnkd.in/ePGFDvek ➡️ Position paper – “Hydrogen for an energy resilient Europe”: https://lnkd.in/ev7d-g5U ➡️ PwC report - “Hydrogen lead markets framework study”: https://lnkd.in/efQ2VQC8 #Leadmarkets #AntwerpDeclaration #HydrogenNow Ursula von der Leyen | Bart De Wever | Emmanuel Macron | Friedrich Merz | Matthias Diependaele | Teresa Ribera | Stéphane Séjourné | Wopke Hoekstra | Minister-president Dick Schoof | Christian Stocker Michael Vassiliadis
