This week, I had the privilege of interviewing Joe Gregorich, Sutter Health’s VP of State Government Affairs, and facilitating a discussion with SEBMG leaders on healthcare policy, advocacy, and the emerging issues that will shape the future of healthcare. One theme stood out: many of the challenges we face in healthcare—from workforce shortages and access to care to affordability and innovation—are influenced by decisions being made far beyond our clinic & hospital walls. We discussed the important role healthcare leaders can play in advocacy by sharing real-world experiences and helping policymakers understand how legislation impacts patients, care teams, and communities.
