Helping businesses stop guessing their brand in the digital space.
Did you know LinkedIn has started quietly crushing the reach of posts that look like AI? If your views have suddenly dropped or your realising your posts/engagement are a lot lower then normal then this is probably why. The beloved algorithm is now hunting for so called AI slop, you know that content we all know is AI generated and we scroll past within 2 milliseconds of seeing it? (Helloooo em dash and perfectly structured sentences…) But I’ve done a lot of research to see what it’s picking up, what the impact is, and if my hand written posts have any chance of being flagged as AI. Here’s my list of things I’ve discovered so far: • If readers scroll past your post in under 10 seconds, and your content it blocky and uses a cliche hook, it’s likely to get flagged • if your text uses AI buzzwords, I’m sure you know them the algorithm will suppress the reach. • Likes don’t seem to matter anymore, if your post gets lots of likes but no deep and meaningful comments the algorithm instantly devalues your content • interestingly enough, the whole “comment yes” or “comment Read” sort of things at the end of the post apparently are devaluing your content too! I find it super interesting, I guess I’m lucky I write my posts myself, I’m sure we all know people in our network who’s content it gonna get slammed though!!
