I had big plans for a 5 day weekend. And then, I found out my best friend lost her husband to suicide. I spent the last few days by her side as she tried to make sense of “why,” even though we all knew the answer would never make sense. While we may not always see someone’s pain, we must remember that mental illness is real. It’s not only real for the person suffering, but it’s real for the family, the friends and everyone that person touched. 💔 Check in with your loved ones. 💔 Look for signs and take action. 💔 Help others help themselves. #mentalillness #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness
