VP, DGX at NVIDIA
I’ve been in data centers and IT services my entire career, and 10 years ago, everything changed. I remember when Jensen hand-delivered the very first #NVIDIADGX-1 to OpenAI in 2016. It wasn't just a server; it was a "supercomputer in a box." It had that iconic gold faceplate and enough power to consolidate 250 conventional servers into one chassis. And it fit in the trunk of Jensen’s car. At the time, we just wanted to prove that the world needed systems purpose-built for AI (though deep learning was the more ‘in’ phrase back then). To drive this new AI use case we knew we had to deliver a turn-key solution that integrated hardware, software and networking to make it easy for customers to adopt and develop with. Fast forward to today and everyone is using AI from reasoning models to agents to act as an accelerator at work. To power this, that original “spark” of DGX-1 has undergone an incredible increase in compute. We’ve gone from 170 teraFLOPS to the exascale power of the NVIDIA Vera Rubin architecture, powering AI factories around the world. At NVIDIA, we have a saying: "The mission is the boss." For the DGX team over the last 10 years, that mission has been simple: democratize AI. It’s been an tremendous decade of helping to architect the age of AI. I’m incredibly proud of what the NVIDIA team has delivered and I can't wait to show you what the next 10 years look like. Come celebrate with us at #NVIDIAGTC on March 16-19. #DecadeOfDGX
