Black Entrepreneur Launches First Platform That Scores Brands On Their Commitment To The Black Community She didn’t just complain about where our dollars go, she built a tool that actually holds major brands accountable and directs money to Black-owned businesses. Her name is Seneca Connor, an African American attorney and entrepreneur from Northern California. Seneca Connor is a licensed California attorney and MBA holder who built Reckond's entire scoring methodology, legal framework, and evidentiary standards herself, alone. She is also the founder of The Bag Icon LLC, a luxury accessories brand with editorial coverage in Black Enterprise Magazine, Business Insider, Yahoo, and Essence, and the creator of The Spotlight Program, an Instagram series that highlights Black-owned brands at no cost. She launched Reckond, the first platform that scores major brands on their real commitment to the Black community. Available as a mobile app (iOS) and browser extension (Chrome & Safari), Reckond evaluates over 800 companies across seven key dimensions and surfaces more than 1,300 verified Black-owned businesses right at the point of purchase. With Black consumers holding over $2.2 trillion in annual spending power, Seneca created something powerful: transparent scores and letter grades based on public data, so our dollars can support real impact instead of empty promises. No commissions. No fees. Just truth and direction. This is innovation with purpose. This is turning consumer power into economic accountability and ownership. This is Trade NOT Aid-An Alpha Sirius Brand in action: not waiting for brands to do better, but building the infrastructure that makes them do better, while lifting Black businesses in the process. To Seneca Connor: Queen, your work is brilliant, timely, and necessary. Thank you for creating a tool that empowers us to vote with our wallets more intentionally. The question I want you to sit with today: When you spend your money, do you know exactly where it’s going, and what would it look like for all of us to be more intentional about directing our dollars toward real support and Black ownership, like Reckond makes possible? Drop your honest thoughts in the comments. I read every single one. Comment “Reckond” if you’re downloading or sharing this tool. Tag someone who needs to know about this platform today. Let’s celebrate Seneca Connor while committing to spend smarter and build stronger. P.S. If this story of smart innovation and economic empowerment inspired you, share it. Someone scrolling right now wants to spend their money with purpose and needs this tool in their hands. #BlackOwnedBusiness #ConsciousConsumer #BlackExcellence #TradeNotAid #TheAfricanCFO #EconomicPower #BuyBlack #Accountability
