We’re proud to celebrate two of our own at Charles Darwin University who have been recognised as category winners at the 2025 NT News Woman of the Year Awards. Dr Bilawara Lee OAM , Larrakia Academic in Residence, has been named the winner in the First Nations Women category. Aunty Bilawara’s cultural leadership and deep commitment to community continue to shape CDU and the broader Northern Territory. Dr Carla Eisemberg, Senior Lecturer in STEM Pathways, Associate Dean of Innovation, and Director of the CDU Radicle Centre for STEM Engagement, has been named the winner in the STEM category. Her work in conservation science and STEM education is helping build a more sustainable and informed future. Congratulations to both Aunty Bilawara and Carla on this well-deserved recognition. We’re honoured to work alongside you.
