It would be nice if LinkedIn just showed me what I actually want to see from the site - potential jobs, clients and opportunities. Instead it’s like 3 job-related posts, and then non-stop pro vs anti AI opinions, which, to be frank, are all kinda like fortune tellers shouting at one another. I dislike AI, I do not use it in my work and I don’t want to use it if I can help it. But I’m also aware I cannot see the future, and usually what really happens is somewhere in-between whatever prediction is hurled about. Pro-AI people, your AI dreams will not come true the way you want them to. Anti-AI people, the technology will not magically vanish (although it might get a new name once AI sounds about as enticing as ‘cyber’ ). In the end, we will all be left unhappy, and that’s probably the most realistic prediction in this matter.
