True to its commitment to the passing down of craftsmanship, CHANEL is taking part, for the fifth consecutive year, in the exhibition “Entrez en Matières, Gestes & Savoir-Faire des Métiers d’art” organised by the Comité Colbert as part of the Journées Européennes des Métiers d’Art. From 9th to 12th April 2026 at the Fondation Fiminco in Romainville, this exhibition will highlight crafts and the savoir-faire of the artisans from the Maisons d’art. As part of the exhibition, CHANEL is showcasing the unique expertise of its Haute Couture workshops. In collaboration with 𝘭𝘦19M, a hands-on workshop led by the École Lesage invites the public to discover the expertise of the Lesage embroiderers and to explore the creative process behind the scenes at CHANEL. In the textile area of the event at the Fiminco Foundation, CHANEL and 𝘭𝘦19M will also unveil the various stages involved in creating one of the House’s Haute Couture jackets. A unique opportunity to explore the collaborative work between CHANEL’s workshops and the Maisons d’art, a visual selection will offer a glimpse into the creative process behind Matthieu Blazy’s first Haute Couture collection. Created on the initiative of CHANEL to inspire vocations and to pass down exceptional artisanal skills, 𝘭𝘦19M brings together 700 artisans and experts across twelve resident Houses and also is home to a multidisciplinary space open to all, 𝘭𝘢 Galerie 𝘥𝘶 19M. Admission to the Journées Européennes des Métiers d’Art is free of charge.
