It was very positive to see a broad delegation of chambers from both sides of the border in attendance at today's Oireachtas Committee meeting on the implementation of the Good Friday Agreement. This included members from Chambers Ireland's network in Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce, Dundalk Chamber and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Chamber of Commerce. The session explored the importance of cross border cooperation in supporting economic development of the regions. Each representative sought to highlight the opportunities and practical challenges facing the cross-border economy and the need for aligned public services. Thanks to the Committee and all participants for a constructive and forward-looking discussion.
