When Liang Jiangbo lost his sight completely at 13, many schools refused to admit him. But he never gave up on a dream sparked by a childhood documentary: to study at Tsinghua University. #TheFaces In 2022, Liang became Tsinghua University's first graduate student with total blindness. After earning his master's degree, he turned to public welfare work, supporting people with disabilities through accessibility training and advocacy. Still driven to go further, he applied to Tsinghua once again, and this year, he was admitted to its doctoral program. Returning to campus this September, Liang hopes to combine academic research with public service to help build a more inclusive society. "There are no dead ends in life, only those who refuse to keep moving forward," Liang said. "I've received help from so many people along the way, so I've always hoped to become someone who helps others."
