The future of healthcare is being shaped right now, and Ceres is honored to be at the table! Our Founder and CEO, Cathryn Couch, and Director of Development and Community Affairs, Deborah Ramelli, traveled to Washington, D.C., this week to represent Ceres Community Project at the very first #FIMCON26. This groundbreaking national conference brought together over 800 advocates, researchers, and policymakers dedicated to the future of the Food is Medicine movement. On June 1, Cathryn took the stage as a featured panelist for “Farm to FIM: Scaling Values-Aligned Purchasing in Practice,” sharing our community-centered model and discussing how we can expand sustainable, values-aligned food systems across the country. Following the conference, our team joined fellow members of the California Food is Medicine Coalition on Capitol Hill to meet with the offices of two senators, including the staff of Senator Adam Schiff and three representatives. They were among 300 Food is Medicine advocates visiting nearly every congressional office in a massive show of support, ensuring that the beautiful connection between nutrition and healing remains a national priority. We are incredibly proud to see our team leading these national conversations and bringing the spirit of Ceres to the heart of our country’s capital! 🌟🤝
