Successful collaboration between CERATIZIT and RWTH Aachen University 🎓🤝 The Master’s block seminar “Werkzeuge aus Hartmetall" (Cemented Carbide Tools) at RWTH Aachen once again proved how successfully academia and industry can come together to deliver hands-on, practice-oriented teaching. In collaboration with the Institute for Materials Applications in Mechanical Engineering (IWM), the Institute for Surface Engineering (IOT), and our CERATIZIT colleague Dr.-Ing. Matthias Thiex, students once again gained in-depth insights into the entire value chain of cemented carbide production in January 2026—complemented by expert lectures, lab sessions, and direct exchange with specialists. The highlight: the excursion to the CERATIZIT production site in Mamer, Luxembourg. 🏭 A big thank you to all colleagues involved and to RWTH Aachen for the excellent collaboration and support!
