New funding from CEPI will help take a promising nanoparticle vaccine platform into early clinical development, with the aim of speeding up how we respond to future outbreaks. We’re investing up to $9.7m in POP Biotechnologies to advance its SNAP™ platform, including a Phase 1 trial targeting H5N1 avian influenza, following an earlier initial investment. The approach is designed to make vaccine development faster and more efficient, from simplifying antigen purification to enabling a more flexible “plug-and-play” design that could be adapted quickly for new threats. This kind of platform innovation is central to the 100 Days Mission: helping ensure the world can develop safe, effective vaccines within 100 days of a new virus emerging. It’s also a key part of CEPI 3.0 - building the technologies we need now so we’re better prepared for the next epidemic or pandemic. More details below ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/eXYjYWev
