This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming a high-level delegation from Singapore to the Netherlands and Belgium, for a workshop hosted at CWI: 'Navigating the Cyberstorm: Trust and Resilience in the AI-Quantum Age'. The group - over 30 participants, including representatives from multiple ministries, industry, and academia - visited CWI’s Cryptology group as part of a knowledge mission organized together with the Joint Lab of the Digital Trust Centre at Nanyang Technological University and Mastercard Singapore. Topics included the growing urgency of post-quantum cryptography (PQC) migration, as well as the role of AI and privacy-enhancing technologies in building trustworthy and resilient digital systems. The programme was organized and hosted by Ronald Cramer (CWI, Leiden University), in collaboration with Kwok Yan Lam (Digital Trust Centre, NTU) and Steve Harbick and Raj Singh from Mastercard Singapore. CWI director Vanessa Evers performed the official opening. Beyond the formal sessions, the workshop provided valuable space for exchange and connection - an important basis for continued international collaboration. We thank all participants for their engagement and look forward to staying in touch. Photos: CWI / Paul Roberts.
