🎉 Ten years of VEReniging Software Engineering Nederland (VERSEN): a milestone for the Dutch software engineering community. Over a decade ago, researchers in software engineering in the Netherlands knew each other, but often worked in separate niches, with few opportunities to meet across subfields in a structured way. That is precisely why VERSEN, the Association for Software Engineering in the Netherlands, was founded. Ten years later, VERSEN has grown into a national community that connects perspectives, strengthens collaboration, and gives the field a stronger collective voice. “VERSEN has become a blueprint for similar organizations in the Netherlands and across Europe", says CWI-researcher Jurgen Vinju, involved in the creation of VERSEN and its annual SEN symposium. The upcoming symposium will reflect on the anniversary and also look ahead.
