Is transport poverty finally getting the attention it deserves? Our Senior Research Fellow, Christian Calvillo, latest blog explores why access to affordable, reliable transport must be recognised as a core part of the cost-of-living and net zero debate. The blog highlights his insights from the European Commission JRC Workshop (EU Science, Research and Innovation) Transport is not just about getting from A to B. It shapes whether people can: 🔹 access jobs and education 🔹 reach healthcare and essential services 🔹 stay connected to their communities Yet transport poverty has often been overlooked compared to energy or housing.
