Three years ago today, the lives of millions of Sudanese people changed irrevocably. The conflict that began on April 15 2023 has displaced more than 13 million people, making Sudan one of the largest displaced conflicts in the world. The humanitarian needs are vast, and they are not abstract. They are the daily reality of the people living and working inside this crisis. Tomorrow, we begin a new cohort of the Crisis Leadership Program in Port Sudan. The professionals joining that program have been working on the frontlines of this crisis for years. They have made decisions under impossible conditions, led teams through loss, and kept humanitarian operations running when the systems around them collapsed. That is what crisis leadership actually looks like. People making consequential decisions, with access to limited resources, in the middle of a crisis setting. Today is a day to sit with the scale of what Sudan is enduring - and to recommit to the people carrying it. #KeepEyesOnSudan
