✨ We’re delighted to congratulate Associate Professor Zhichao Wu, Head of Clinical Biomarkers Research at CERA, on receiving the Macular Disease Foundation Australia (MDFA) 25th Anniversary Award. The award will help support Associate Professor Wu’s work towards improving how geographic atrophy progression is detected and measured, including the development of more sensitive vision tests. 👁️ Geographic atrophy is a late stage of dry age‑related macular degeneration (AMD) involving the gradual loss of retinal cells that can lead to loss of central vision. These approaches may help accelerate the testing and development of new treatments by enabling clearer, more informative clinical trials. We're grateful to the MDFA for recognising and supporting this vital research. Image 1: A/Prof Wu and MDFA CEO Dr Kathy Chapman (centre) with MDFA supporters Sue and Megan Evans.
