The CRG has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Shenzhen Medical Academy of Research and Translation (SMART) and Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (SZBL) to establish a framework for scientific collaboration between the institutions. The agreement sets out plans to work together across researcher exchanges, joint research projects, academic events and talent development. It was signed by Monica Bettencourt-Dias, Director of the CRG, and Nieng Yan, Founding President of SMART and Director of SZBL, and facilitated by Maria Pia Cosma, Coordinator of the Systems and Synthetic Biology Programme.
