Happy International Women's Day. Let's look at the numbers. When we lead - S&P 500 companies with female CEOs returned 384% over the past decade. The rest? 261%. When we save - we consistently set aside a higher percentage of our income than men. Same paycheck. Better discipline. When we invest - Fidelity studied 5.2 million accounts over 10 years. Women outperformed men. Less impulsive. Better diversified. More patient. When we start companies - 90% of gender-lens investors meet or exceed their financial expectations. We overdeliver. When we get access, we don't just perform. We outperform. And yet… We earn less. We're underrepresented at the top. We take career breaks to raise children, care for parents, hold families together and the wealth gap starts right there. 64% of us have never invested. We receive just 2% of all venture capital funding. We live 5 years longer than men. And we retire with 32% less. More years. Less money. More responsibility. I see it every day. In my network. In the conversations I have. In the women who tell me they never learned any of this. Not at school. Not at work. Not at home. We don't need to be saved.
