Celestyal strengthens #Rhodes and #AgiosNikolaos (Crete) on the cruise map, reinforcing its role in shaping the future of Greek cruising through strategic destination partnerships 🌊 This was highlighted during onboard events with invited local stakeholders and media representatives from both regions, where Celestyal CEO Chris Theophilides presented the company’s long-term commitment to sustainable cruising and destination value creation. With #Rhodes returning dynamically to Celestyal’s 7-night itineraries and Agios Nikolaos, Crete becoming a stable feature of its programme, the company further strengthens its presence in two emblematic Greek destinations with distinct identity, tourism potential and meaningful value for Greek cruising. In Rhodes, Celestyal will operate 54 calls in 2026 (30 by Celestyal Discovery and 24 by Celestyal Journey), increasing to 68 in 2027 and 69 in 2028, reinforcing the island’s position as a leading Mediterranean cruise destination, with an estimated €75 million contribution and 700,000 guests over the 2014–2028 period. In Agios Nikolaos (Crete), the destination secures a stable position in Celestyal’s 7-night itineraries, with 22 calls in 2026 and 28 annually from 2027 onwards, generating an estimated €3.5 million annual impact and approximately 33,600 guests per year, further strengthening Eastern Crete’s cruise profile. As Chris Theophilides said: “Rhodes and Agios Nikolaos are two destinations with distinctive identity, authentic hospitality and significant value for Greek cruising.
