🏥 Hospitals save lives, but their operations are highly complex and resource-intensive. How can we make healthcare facilities greener without compromising clinical excellence? 🌱    That is exactly the challenge of EN-VISION project (Environmental Sustainability in Hospital Settings).     Under the leadership of our researcher Mónica Oliveira, this multidisciplinary project aims to equip hospitals with advanced decision-support tools for health professionals designing, evaluating and prioritizing competing sustainability initiatives across different departments.     By deploying novel multicriteria resource allocation models (such as MACBETH) and visual analytics, as well as novel collaborative processes (for instance, argumentative Delphi processes), the project enables a 'value for money' assessment for environmental sustainability initiatives on a level playing field.     Ultimately, we empower healthcare facilities and professionals to generate and implement bottom-up green strategies that are environmentally impactful, clinically safe, doable, and shaped for the specific organizational contexts.     ✨ Our impact on the ground: 🔹 Real-World Cases: Acting directly in high-demand contexts, such as Intensive Medicine and Gastroenterology units. 🔹 Value-Driven Decisions: Using Decision Science and Management Engineering tools to improve hospital decision-making and to foster collaboration. 🔹 Strong Partnerships: Testing real solutions with ULS Santa Maria, ULS Almada-Seixal (Hospital Garcia de Orta), ULS Amadora/Sintra, and with the collaboration of CEISUC. 🤝    At CEGIST | Centre for Management Studies of Instituto Superior Técnico, we believe top-tier research must step out of the lab to solve the complex problems of organizations. This is how we turn management science into societal impact. 🌍    👉 Learn more about how we support the green transition in the healthcare sector: https://lnkd.in/eQfG4ezY    👥 CEGIST Team: Mónica Oliveira (Coordinator); Ana Carvalho; Ana Sara Costa; Ana Vieira; Carlos Bana e Costa; Eduardo Costa; Francisco Viterbo; João Lourenço; Miguel Pereira; Rui Infante    #CEGIST #ENVISION #Sustainability #HealthEconomics #ManagementScience #HealthcareInnovation #GreenHospital #TecnicoLisboa #FCT
