🎓 Congratulations to the winners of the CEDLA Latin American Studies MA Thesis Award 2026! Every year, CEDLA recognises outstanding Master's research on Latin America carried out at Dutch universities. This year's award goes to Laura Rodriguez Arguedas (Wageningen University & Research) for her thesis exploring the territorial experiences of the Yaminahua people in the Bolivian Amazon. The jury also recognised the excellent work of Isabella Jaramillo Díaz (Delft University of Technology), whose research focuses on community-led urban planning in Cali, Colombia, and Natasha Wilson (International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam), for her study on historical memory and language education in Guatemala. Congratulations to all three for their inspiring research and well-deserved recognition! 👏 The jury consisted of Dr. Christien Klaufus (chair), Dr. Sven da Silva 🟥 , Dr. Gabriela Russo Lopes and João Fernandes Pereira. Of the nineteen theses submitted by students who had graduated from different universities in The Netherlands in 2024 and 2025 (theses graded with an 8 of higher), the jury selected three finalists.
