Ceremony for the MA Thesis Award in Latin American Studies 2026   We warmly invite you to attend the ceremony for the MA Thesis Award in Latin American Studies 2026 on Friday, 19 June. For this event, we have received over 20 theses, of which nineteen were eligible, which is a great turnout! The ceremony puts the spotlight on all these young talents.   The event will start at 15:30 hours in the University of Amsterdam’s Bushuis, Kloveniersburgwal 48, Amsterdam, in Room F1.14 (first floor). During the first part of the programme, eight short-listed nominees will briefly present their thesis topic. This will be followed by the jury’s announcement of the three prize winners and a presentation of the jury report. After the ceremony, all guests are welcome for drinks and snacks in the Meeting Room and garden at CEDLA, Binnengasthuisstraat 46, Amsterdam. Visitors will also have the opportunity to view the photo exhibition “La Resistencia de Pirañas Crew: Women Street Artists’ Struggle to Obtain Gender Equality, Security, and Inclusion” by Dr. Lieke Prins and photographer Lin Woldendorp.
