U.S. Paralympians Ezra Frech and Scout Bassett stopped by the Burn Treatment Center at Torrance Memorial, an affiliate of Cedars-Sinai, to visit patients, share their journeys and bring encouragement to a truly remarkable group of people. For our patients, this visit reflected resilience, honesty and the strength it takes to embrace a difficult road. During the visit, Ezra shared his Paris 2024 Paralympic Games gold medals with Cedars-Sinai patients, while Scout spoke about her journey to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. When Ezra and Scout spoke openly about pushing through hardship and finding what is possible on the other side, it created a space for real connection — one that will stay with our patients long after the visit ended. We are grateful to Ezra, Scout and Team USA for bringing their stories and their spirit to Torrance Memorial, and for reminding our patients that strength, in all its forms, lives in them too.
